Questions:
- Why does my Sender ID have extra letters in front of it?
- Why is my Brand name not displayed as I defined it?
- Why do my messages have the initials MD in front of the Sender ID?
Solution:
Sender IDs in India may be prefixed with additional letters to identify who delivered it and through which gateway.
So if the Sender ID is received as VD-TESTSMS, this will mean the carrier delivering was Vodafone, and the region was Delhi.
